iSentek Inc. releases 3mm x 3mm three-axis magnetometer IST8310 for industrial applications 2016/5/2 (New Taipei City, Taiwan) iSentek releases a 3mm x 3mm three-axis magnetometer for industrial applications. Using AMR technology, this product can fit in the popular 3mm x 3mm pin out in applications like drone, navigation device, smart watch and robot.

Max Lai, Chairman/CEO of iSentek says: “IST8310 is a low noise product emphasizing precise heading capability. It is designed to be functional and pin out compatible with an obsolete popular mainstream magnetometer. Customer just do minor software modification to replace the part instead of redesigning and testing the whole PCB. This feature is helpful for many long life cycle industrial device suppliers.” Max elaborates: “IST8310 is already in mass production and proven by world's leading drone supplier. We have gained design-in in several leading drone suppliers in China. ”

IST8310 is a s three-axis magnetometer featuring 16-pin LGA package, dimensions are length x width x height, 3.0 x 3.0 x 1.0 mm3, respectively. It supports I2C slave interface, fast mode up to 400kHz. Maximum Output Data Rate is 200Hz and low hysteresis is <0.05%FS. Mass production starts since Feb, 2016.
